CARP COMPANY RECIPE SHEET

 

The following recipe ideas have been tried and tested by leading anglers fishing on Carp Company bait. All the recipes require 5 fresh eggs to which you add all your flavours, liquid additives and powered attractors, then mix well. Remember to add the base mix a little at a time, DO NOT add all of the base mix to the liquid at one go. There is enough base mix in a 1kg bag to make two five egg mixes.

Add the 1st two to your water for 1kg of dry mix  Or this one, mix direct to smaller amounts of mix for PVA tubes/sticks

 

We are always being asked how to make hard hook baits to deal with crayfish, nuisance fish etc.  Below is a detailed guide to over come this problem using Carp Company's Jaw Breaker.

HOOKERS ( Hard Hook Baits)

Put 450gms of your chosen Base Mix in a large plastic bag, add 28grms of Jaw Breaker . This is enough mix to do about 5x1 egg mixes.

Seal bag by twisting top leaving plenty of air inside. Shake vigorously until the powders have mixed together.

This Mix will be very sticky & also has a tendency to dry very quickly so make sure you have all your rolling equipment at the ready.

This recipe is for 1 egg.

Crack egg in bowl add 3 to 5 ml of your flavour.

Add Base mix slowly, bit by bit , this is the messy part get your hands in there & knead it until you get the right consistency. Be careful not to make it to dry or it will not roll it will end up cracking & falling apart.

When you have successfully made it into the dough, roll the size baits you want & boil for :

16+18mm 3 mins 20+22mm 4 mins. Lay out & leave to dry for at least 24 hours.  Then freeze as usual, or put in a bait soak this will make them like concrete so put a hole through them first.
